At of this writing (Friday, April 17th), I’ve essentially been on home lockdown since March 12th. At that time, it was self-imposed and not as widespread as it is now. This has given rise to weekly Facebook Live outings, rotating between Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. After each week is done, I then pick one of those three days for the next session and announce it on FB, Instagram, and Twitter. IF you subscribe to my Concert Email Notifications (link is at the top of Concerts Page and is separate from my Email List), you’ll get an email when I post new announcements. What is this Facebook Live thing? I’ve been at it for a couple years now. With this new era of the Coronavirus Quarantine, many artist are understandably following suit. Here’s a little extra info about how it usually works:

I tidy up my home office. Then I plant myself in front my now-long-in-the-tooth 2012 iMac. I plug in a “ring light”, fire up my condenser mic, grab my Ryan Cathedral or Mission guitar … and take to Facebook Live. I always “officially” schedule these things for an hour or so. But I always have so much fun, that it goes on longer, sometimes up to ninety minutes. The trick, of course, is to sing to a small green light at the top of the computer display and keep my mind on the music … while I’m also occasionally looking at the stream of comments/questions/requests scrolling in real-time as we go. Can’t join us in real-time? Not to worry. Unless something goes very wrong, the whole shebang will remain on Facebook on the Timelines of my Personal and Music pages … and I often post an archive copy to YouTube as well. Shortly after I upload to YouTube, I often make a “road map” of the the entire set so folks can scroll back and forth to what interests them if they aren’t able to commit to watching a full set. So, click over and join the hearty, enthusiastic band of folks who always seem to turn up. We’ll be happy to have along!
