This month’s Musician’s Network will feature a special evening devoted to songwriting with two of the finest songwriters anywhere: Bob Bennett and Madi Cunningham. This is a rare opportunity to hear from such talented people in an informal interview setting. This is coming up on Monday, April 24th at 7 PM at Harvest OC in the Youth Room upstairs. Bill Batstone and Tim Nienhuis will be leading this Q and A time with Bob and Madi. We will talk about how to write songs, inspiration for songs, performance, some techniques, plenty of expert advice. Bob and Madi are both amazing guitar players and singers and recording artists. Come out and enjoy this special evening!

My good pal Bill Batstone asked me to be a part of this evening. I’ll be meeting Madison Cunningham for the first time. Obviously, I’ll be holding down the “musical geezer” part of the discussion. I expect it might not be “all talk” with some music involved, but I’m not precisely sure what arc the evening will take. We’ll all find out together. Songwriting is a lifelong passion and I have a particular burden for encouraging artists of any discipline who, for whatever reasons, find themselves in the orbit of the Church. By the way, this event is open to all … even if you’re not a musician or songwriter. So, if interested in the goings-on, please come on out.
