Tuesday, August 13, 2024 – 12:40 PM PDT – Hi Folks. As you can tell from this barely functional, plain web page, I’m way out of my depth when it comes to web page design. In the past, I’ve used the Kickstarter platform and, to their credit, they offer an array of options to update donors, share works-in-progress, etc. GoFundMe is strictly for raising funds with not much else available for follow-up. So, I’m posting this very modest page as a running update of my “Everlasting Day” activities from here on out. Here’s a link to my SoundCloud account where I’ve stashed a 4/10/24 rough mix of THE LORICA. For those who might not know, this song is based on the lengthier text of St. Patrick’s Breastplate. The lyrics adaptation and joyful tune were written by Gayle Salmond. (Gayle is married to my dear friend and producer Roy Salmond … pictured with me at the top of the page above). UPDATE: Thursday, August 22, 2024
BBWL: “Everlasting Day”
I am elated to tell you that after ten days, we’re just shy of 75% of the overall goal to fund the remaining costs to finish my new album. Roy and I are so glad to be rolling up our sleeves to get back to work and bring this thing home. And we are SO appreciative of the almost-one-hundred people who have given us their support in this way. Here’s an excerpt from last weekend’s livestream of the title song. In all of this world of struggle (individually and joined with the whole lot of humanity), the Hope of Resurrection is looking better all the time. Now I’m in no hurry to take that “better gig”, but I’m happy to know I’m booked for eternity!
